DREAM Action Coalition Moments and Events of 2013
In 2013, DREAM Action Coalition has been involved in many of the immigration events of the year. Here is a brief look back at some of the highlights:

DRM hosted Rep. Sinema (D-AZ), Rep Coffman (R-CO), Rep. Valadao (R-CA) and Rep Gutierrez (D-IL), alongside America’s Voice Founder, Frank Sharry
Pelosi’s Candid Moment on Deportations, 12/16
Dream Action Coalition caught Nancy Pelosi mentioning “If your only violation is you overstayed or came in a certain way, there’s no reason to split a family”
DRM Co-Founders Win Hackathon’s Storyteller Award, 11/13
DRM’s own Carlos Vargas and Erik Garcia win recognition for their team’s game, “Undoculife,” simulating what life is for undocumented immigrants
DRM Organizes Military DREAMers to Pressure Rep. Grimm (R-NY), 11/13
The DREAM Army showed up to Rep. Grimm’s Staten Island office to push him on immigration
DRM Travels to Colorado to Pressure Rep. Coffman (R-CO), 8/13
DRM helped to organize local activists in Colorado to help pressure Rep. Coffman (R-CO), newly vulnerable to the Latino vote due to redistricting

DRM unwelcomes Ted Cruz during his fundraising trip to New York
DRM Pressures Relevant Members of Congress at Town Halls, 4/13
Throughout the year, DRM attended and encouraged attendance at Town Halls where those vulnerable or sympathetic to immigration issues would be taking questions
DRM Pressures Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), 4/13
DRM helped organize crowds against Chuck Schumer at his New York office when he made political moves against the interest of immigration reform
Deportation Bus Demonstrations
Members of Dream Action Coalition helped with several demonstrations stopping deportation buses in San Francisco and Arizona
